Description, stats, concerns and expectations:
Going to do me an Old School Cycle. I think this is a staple cycle in every meatheads repertoire so I figured it can't fail me either. I'm starting this cycle at 160lbs 13% BF. Hoping to add 15 pounds 10 of which I'd like to keep. I am a very hard gainer so I know a lot of what I gain on cycle is quickly lost after cycle. Knowing this I will not be disapointed in minimal size gains. I am also committing to continue Triathlon training through this cycle which is what I've lacked in years past. One day of swimming one bike and one run per week which will mean 4-5 days of heavy lifting. There will always be days I can do both so hoping to get at least that. I'm scheduling the workouts so they will not be skipped to lift, which is what I usually end up doing on cycle.

WOW, I can't believe it took me 2 weeks to reply to you Nasty! I apologize, life has gotten way too busy. They cycle is going OK. I haven't gotten a huge appetite, but I'm still packing on the calories. I'm up about 7 pounds and strength is going up. I have to face it that I just may never gain much more weight, but I'm sticking to the 20 week cycle. I'm throwing in all the extra calories I can eat. BP is staying low so I am thinking about throwing in proviron for a month. I am also going to end the cycle with dbol too.

Let me know how the dbol goes at the end of the cycle. I plan to add it in a future cycle in the middle or the end as many have recommended. I simply love Dbol and can never wait to take it because it works so quick so Im like a kid at Christmas and want it now... 7 pounds I think is outstanding as for you I know it has been straight lean gains which is fantastic. Im on the opposite end, gained too much fat and water along with muscle so not really true gains. You also do a shit ton of cardio so I think your ability to put on any weight with all you do is tremendous success. Keep grinding.

Thanks for following. I will let you know. I have so much of that dbol i could pop it like candy, but I'm careful to give the ol liver a good rest. 7 pounds is good. I am hoping not too much is water I'd like to keep 5 coming off cycle. I've been doing a little less cardio this winter, but by others standards it is probably a ton. I've had a lot of windshield time in the last week and it actually helped me put on some more weight. This week of work will determine if it stays.

I have combat athletes use test and EQ. Great stack for cardio and recovery. As Dolf noted, keep an eye on your Hematocrit. I also had them take 20 mgs of Halotestin before training/fighting. Even so, total weekly amount was 800 mgs/week for a 200 lb athlete. Above one gram the cardio abilities diminish and eventually start reversing themselves. You are not a combat athlete, but you participate in an extremely demanding activity when it comes to cardio. More than extremely demanding. As a hard gainer especially you might want to reduce your cardio. You will be exceptionally fit, but you won't get as much size and strength. I recommend reducing your cardio for your first 10 weeks. 20 minutes 3 days a week. I also recommend reducing your EQ to 600 mgs/week. Lift 4-5 days a week using the highest intensity training you can do. You MUST give 100% every workout as most people do not train with sufficient intensity. Gain as much size and strength as possible over your first 10 weeks. Eat a shit ton of food, as you are already doing. 5k/day is fine if you train. During the last 10 weeks re-introduce your cardio/triathlon training, and reduce weight training frequency slightly. Lift 4 days a week and do cardio 3 days a week. Cardio can be 60 minutes a day if you do not lift. That is a 7 day work schedule. If you are tired, take a day off. Get lots of sleep. During pct I would cut back cardio again. Stabilize/keep your gains, reduce training volume. I would like to see you at a solid 185 lbs.

Im asking out of learning here not judging. Im assuming the Test Pro along with the dbol is to kick start the cycle? Could you keep the prop at 300 wk throughout the cycle to keep Test up at the 800mg wk but I guess that would be a huge dose at nearly 2gms of AAS. Being that you are training for a triathlon I presume you will have to eat a shit ton of calories especially since you stated you are a hard gainer. I like the cycle and look forward to seeing your results gaining mass while also doing that level of cardio. Thats some hard charging goals, you are a machine.. Love it. Dig in brother and good luck. Keep us posted.

Of course I could keep the prop up, but I don't want that amount of Test in my system really. 400-500 range is great for me. I might taper at week 3 too. the goal is twice a week pins "simple cycle" I do 4 Olympic distance triathlons a year. winter is just maintenance though. I'll swim 1.5 miles a week run 6 and bike for an hour. I've got it worked out for swim and bike days to lift in the evening.

I'm not good with macros, but I'm hitting 5000 calories a day at 300g protein. Mostly I am on an eat what i see diet. I don't keep snacks and junk around so everything at my house is healthy. so by "eat what i see" im not packing value meals at McDs or anything like that, although I'll go through the drive thru for a chocolate shake if i need an extra 1000 calories.

5000 ed at 165lbs? 300g protein only equals 1200 calories, so your taking in 3800 calories per day of carbs and fat? I know you burn tons of calories training for triathlons, but 5000 calories is a bunch of food. Especially clean foods.

you're correct. I keep a calculator for the calories to make sure I hit. cup of nuts a day goes a long way. two breakfasts lunch lunch dinner, I will grab a bowl of ice cream when needed. trust me there is no explanation why I'm so light for the amount of calories I put in. I eat a pound of cottage cheese a day too on cycle.

Please post your results and I will try and interpret them for you. Next to your scores you should also have the range. In regards to TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) in 2002 The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and The Academy of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) changed the standards. The low (o.4) was unchanged The outside/ range was 5, and needed change. The higher the score the slower your metabolism. The AACE changed that to 3.0 mIU. Above 3 you need treatment because your metabolism is too slow. I believe that anything above 2.3 needs supplemental T 4. The AACE and AACC support my position: "In the future, it is likely that the upper limit of the serum TSH euthyroid reference range will be reduced to 2.5 mIU/L because more than 95% of rigorously screened normal euthyroid volunteers have serum TSH values between 0.4 and 2.5 mIU/L." A gal I worked with was at 3.8 and she could not lose weight. Her doc is/was an idiot. I tried to explain to her that the range was changed, to no avail. Fortunately, the gal is now properly adjusted, eats more but stays fit, as long as she trains. My TSH was always good, 1.6 or so. It bumped up to 2.8 last year (getting old?) so I supplement with a small amount of T 4. Many docs are unaware of this change. They won't do squat unless you are over 5, the outdated range. Ironically, the above doc runs a Bioidentical hormone replacement clinic, even though she can't interpret labs.

Do you have TSH labs? The range is .4 to 3.8...the lower the score the faster your metabolism. Kind of like golf.

TSH 0.94 mIU/L 0.20 - 4.50 mIU/L no idea what that means but doc says it's normal. appears on the lower end ergo faster metabolism

That is an excellent score. You have a fast metabolism and absolutely zero need to adjust it. The proper range is .4 to 3 mlU/L. Remember, the lower the score the faster your metabolism. You have one of the lowest score/fastest metabolisms I have ever seen. That is a big part of why you are a hard gainer. You are very much UNLIKE most other people. Your metabolism is in the top 10 percent. That is why you absolutely MUST adapt your training. You are running a ton of gear, but even so, the triathlon activities will massively inhibit gains. I STRONGLY suggest to revisit your goals. If your goal is maintenance of strength while improving you triathlon time, then you need to cut your gear in half....in fact 60%. If you insist on running 2 grams of gear/week then I would pursue a goal much more appropriate to those amounts: Building muscle. Put on 25 lbs, possible if your training and diet are on point (when I say diet, in your case I mean more calories). Add some junk food right after training and eat another 5k on top of that. Ice cream, pizza etc. Is this healthy? No, but it is temporary. The goal is to put on as much size as possible. After this run, THEN go back to training for a triathlon 3 days a week. I would run lower dosage cycles, but you can and should keep most of that muscle if you structure your gear, food, and training properly. Remember, all this is temporary. By the time you hit 40 you will have exceptional performance in triathlon activities, the only change is that you will be permanently 180 lbs. Do it right and you can maintain this size with low B fat on 700 mgs week alternating with time off using HCG/SERMs etc. Finally, what are your IGF-1 numbers...do you have labs? You are 38 so chances are you have declining levels. I would much rather you cut your steroid totals way down, but start adding GH. I have naturally low GH, but I use either MK-677 or small amounts of Grey Tops to keep my GH levels high normal. GH has many, many benefits beyond building muscle. I am on 1.5 iu's/day for life.

Were not talking about competition prep here. I'm swimming a mile+ a week. Running 10K and biking with resistance about an hour per week. This is maintenanc. I am doing three triathlons next summer. last summer i did two and cut out training on cycle. It didn't matter. I am going to lower the EQ but not to dismal levels you are suggesting. Donating blood can affect cardio training 3 days to 2 weeks. A two week break or decrease in training won't hurt anything. Again, i am not competing until June. I appreciate all the feedback. It's really helped me think this cycle over.
