Description, stats, concerns and expectations:
Beginning March 5, 2017. Simple straight forward cycle using compounds with a long history of success and safety. Test, Deca and hGH are pharma grade.. The goal of this cycle is pure leg development while maintaining upper body fitness. I am planning on adding 5-10 pounds of lean mass in my legs and glutes while protecting my waist and upper body proportions . I expect to be at 225-230 at 10-12%BF. My last cycle left me at 8% and I am currently at 10%. Although the look was nice the maintenance level just did not fit my lifestyle at 8%. My wife said I looked gross. Training schedule will be 2 on, 1 off to start- legs heavy, upper body heavy, rest. Second 2 on, 1 off- legs time under tension light for reps, upper body time under tension light, rest. Heavy leg days I will pre-exhuast muscle groups via isolated exercises before focusing on the heavier compounded lifts. The diet is very clean and simple. Proteins: chicken, beef, wild game, turkey and hydrolyzed whey. Carbs: yams, white rice, green veggies. Fats: MCT, avocado, small amount of butter and dark chocolate. Salt will be limited and I will utilize no added sugars. At the end of cycle I will resume my current TRT protocol of Test, Primo, Deca so no PCT required. At cycle start I will have over 52 weeks of continuous hGH use. hGH will be continued through this cycle 5 on, 2 off and I will begin a anti-aging dose of 1-2iu/ED at cycles end. For macro breakdown and training review diet and workout plan. I will fine-tune my diet if I incorrectly estimated my TDEE.

Here are my scheduled upper body routines. FYI- I train 2.5-3 hours a day and will have to find time to spar during the week on top of everything else. I am not committed to any single exercise and if I am feeling a specific exercise on any specific day I will go with it until I am no longer feeling it... know what I mean? I like to feel good on training days and certain exercises might be providing me a specific feel, pump or contraction that I like. When that happens I stick with it and forget all about reps, sets, rest, etc. Upper body will be a simple alternating push pull routine. I will not go into all the specific exercises because most everyone knows the difference between a 'push' and a 'pull' exercise. The routines will target each major upper body muscle group with at least one 'push' exercise and at least one 'pull' exercise. I originally planned to start with a GVT routine but will not begin that until week 7 for the upper body. My upper body routine will have a 'heavy' day and a 'rep' day. Both days will focus on the negative aspect of the exercise specifically at the end of every set. HEAVY DAY - 8-5 CIRCUIT; An upper body workout that alternates three different push & pull exercises for two rounds: 6-10 repetitions (average = 8) & 4-6 repetitions (average = 5) to volitional muscular fatigue with a 90 second rest between exercises & 180 seconds rest between rounds. I will use the same three push and pull exercises for both rounds. Continue varied rounds until all muscle groups are targeted. REP DAY - A higher-repetition upper body workout (13-21 reps) that alternates three pairs of push and pull exercises, then targets the biceps and triceps. I will choose three different push and pull exercises each for the first three segments. I do three sets of each exercise for the first segment and two sets of each exercise for the second and third segments. I will complete the workout by alternating a tricep and bicep exercise for 5 sets each. All sets are performed to volitional muscular fatigue. Reps in the 13-21 range and rest not exceeding 60 seconds betweens sets and 180 seconds between rounds. I am using the fibonacci sequence for reps and rounds so that is why I use 2,3,5,8,13 & 21. Blood draw went well today. BP 123/80, pulse 64, HCT 51. Timing of the donation was good because HCT was creeping up and 59 excludes males from donation. Average range for males is 38.8-50 and 34.9-44.5 for females.

I really like the instinctive training that you do. Maximizing how the muscle and mind connect and how you feel that day on a particular exercise and knock it out. Ive hit some of my best lifts by doing this. You just know on those days when everything is right, you feel like King Kong and you go for it. Looking forward to hearing about your progress in this cycle. Had to read it a couple of times to follow as its complex and advanced which I would expect nothing less from you. Good stuff.

The Big Nasty... Thank you brother for your support. I think it appears complex because of my poor description. It is very simple. Just consider it a 'push-pull' circuit training program.

I hate tankers lol. Was in Korea freezing my ass off. Tanks were rolling by, and one stopped. Dude opened his hatch, and steam just rolled out that motherfucker. Dude popped out, looked at us, and said "damn it's fucking hot in here." After that I always enjoyed watching them get our concertina wire tangled up in their tracks. That way they could get out and share the heat or cold with us.

LOL.. Tankers are straight up smartasses... Had many infantrymen stand in the back at the exhaust to thaw out.. Iraq sucked, 120 degrees outside and 140 inside the Abrams but with all the IEDs, RPG's, and Rockets I was a happy camper to be inside a tank because I got to return the love with some serious fire power. The damage to the tank most of the time was minimal. Only had one penetrate the tank (shape charge). Replaced a shit ton of tracks though.

I, too, had to read it a few times...love how you're incorporating the golden ratio into your training plan, pretty cool. I'm sort of like you with respect to training schedule; my schedule must fit my daily/weekly routine. Most of the time it works fine, but sometimes it kicks my ass. I really appreciate the focus you bring to your updates. I wonder if you're a lyoto machida fan, he was so calculating; you seem similar

Had to read this almost 10 times to grasp it. Not a knock against your description, SF. I'm just an extremely visual learner and if I don't have a chart or diagram to look at, my IQ drops lower than my shoe size. Now that I understand it, I really like it and am very impressed. The 8-5 Circuit especially. My only critique would be to switch your Day 2 and Day 5 so that your Heavy Leg Day comes after a rest day and your Heavy Upper Body day comes after the Light Leg Day, thus avoiding two consecutive heavy days. I believe that's how Westside Barbell does it and they seem to have a pretty solid handle on these kinds of splits.

Thanks Griz. I am grateful for your input. I can see your point clear as day about dividing heavy and light days and it makes perfect sense. My decision is selfishness and all based on my 'retirement' schedule... I like my free time. My light days will take longer time wise and it is easier to schedule two consecutive long days in the gym than splitting them up. If I can or my schedule changes I will take your advice.

Blood donation on Friday. I will donate again week 4 and then again week 12 at the end of cycle. ND is having me drop the majority of my OTC supplements and will focus on a few crucial ones that are needed to help ensure proper hormonal balance while supporting development. Really looking to simplify many areas of my training and supplementation while gaining the most benefit to support my goal of longevity. Finalizing training protocol and will outline it here when I get it etched in sandstone. ;) Legs will be all out annihilation using everything and anything in the tool bag. Right now I will be looking to utilize squats, weighted sled, loaded carries, hack squats, leg press, etc. with a few other common exercises. Upper body is not going to be so easy but is very doable.

I am ketone adapted right now and I have to use the remaining time to let my body adjust back to the carb lifestyle. I am looking forward to eating some of the things that I do not on a keto diet. Using the "Golden Ratio" determined by Phi - 1.618 and the fibonacci sequence for reps. It is not a scientifically proven 'anything' in how it relates to bodybuilding. It is just something I am fascinated with and aligns with my core beliefs of planned design.

Evidently, everything in nature tends toward 1.618; love it! I'm curious how you use it with respect to body measurement. For example, would you measure lower to upper leg ratio, then waist to chest to shoulder? Or, something different or similar. This [new] approach to bodybuilding very interesting, SF. Yet another level deeper.

Not deeper... just obsessed. My Creator does not make mistakes. ;) It already appears throughout the human body, i.e., Length of arms and legs compared to the torso, individual bone sections of the finger, etc. Bodybuilders already know the importance of symmetry but by todays standards they have ventured outside of the concept of proportions IMO. I am not judging that. I just know it is not appealing to the majority of individuals. Reeves version is the standard and he deviated from the ratio slightly but it is an example that I am attempting to follow. Google will be able to tell you almost everything you need to know so I don't go on a longer rant. ;)

Never. I have to get my legs up to speed with my physique ratios I have outlined for myself or at least die trying. ;) 150lbs or 250lbs I am about ratios now. Look at Steve Reeves. I even use the golden ratio in my rep ranges. Weird I know but it works for me.Makes me feel like I am doing something that is universally important and god like. Little "g". My hypocrisy only goes so far.;)
