protein intake on cycle

Do you guys take more protein on cycle then off? or do you keep it pretty consistent.

Also how much? I know most people do 1-2g per lb of body weight

As a general matter, my

As a general matter, my protein intake off cycle sits at about 1.25g per body weight, then on cycle, i'll take it as high as 2g. In light of those numbers, research has shown that 20-40g per meal is range in which protein ought to be in for optimal for muscle protein synthesis. I don't recall whether this figure included enhanced athletes or only natty. I only recall that there were diminished returns as protein was increased above 40g per meal. The gist was that the body can only process so much at any given time. But, by my own intuition, given that there is an ideal amount of muscle stimuli, glucose, and androgens, coupled with greater muscle mass, an increase of protein greater than 40g per meal may contribute to increased hypertrophy. Thats my thought on it anyways.

Protein synthesis is enhanced

Protein synthesis is enhanced while on gear, so consumption should be higher. I wouldn't necessarily put a number limit on a meal because imo a 230lb man can take in and put to use more than say a 190lb man. 1.5-2g per pound of body weight divided by how many meals per day you consume which imo should be no less than 5. I eat 6 per day. I also believe you should consume most your macros through whole foods, and not supplements.

I have transitioned from

I have transitioned from focusing on a set amount of protein consumption to focusing on better utilization of actual protein consumed. I do this with the use of nutrient timing, enzymes, supplements and steroid combinations.

I personally do not exceed 1.25-1.5gr per pound of body weight at this stage. And many days I find that 1gr is sufficient for me.

If protein intake is a problem for an individual I recommend supplementing with casein immediately before bed and then again as early in the am as possible. This is a simple but effective way to get 50-100gr of additional slow digesting protein per day.

I generally wake around 4 am

I generally wake around 4 am for my gh injection. That is a good time to supplement with casein if needed. I go back to bed and am up for the day between 6-6:30 am..... I wake when I hear my wife pouring our morning coffee. ;)

Great answers here, thank you

Great answers here, thank you guys for your input! I see now how important splitting up meals are.. It makes sense that loading up too much protein in 1 single meal would simply be converted into glucose and burned. And it would be better off waiting a few hours to have another meal so the body can absorb it all.
