Welcome, and congrats on

Welcome, and congrats on getting cleaned up! No easy task that's for sure.

On to your question: First what is your stats (age, weight, BF%, time back in the gym etc.)?

Starting point: First, get your blood work done. This is important such that you will know your baseline numbers for testosterone free and total, estradiol levels, your lipids, and liver values among other things.  A replacement dose can and often is very beneficial. A replacement dose (known as TRT, testosterone replacement therapy) is typically between 125 and 250mg per week. The dose depends on your current baseline test levels.  Since testosterone is aromatized (converted to) estrogen, you will also need and aromatase inhibitor, which are arimidex and aromasin. These are taken to mitigate the E2 (estrogenic side effects like gyno for example). Not everyone is E2 sensitive, even so, E2 will be in the blood and still needs to be controlled. There are different dosing protocols, and such are very individual. For example, I am not E2 sensitive even at high doses of test, so i take 12.5mg of arimidex once per week and .5 mg of aromasin once per week, and that works great for me.

LEGIT vendor: there are many of them here. Start by looking at reviews of some of the top 10, make sure they are in fact VERIFIED, and read the reviews of ACTIVE members, those with silver badges and up are the ones to pay attention to for the most part. Although there are some very active bronze members that are also very upstanding here on MG. Remember, we cannot discuss sources in the open forum. Use the Ask and Discuss page for any source if you want to ask about a source. That way the source owner can answer your questions, and members also can chime in on any issue. There is often good information about a source in the Ask and Discuss section,

Good job on getting cleaned up, and best of luck on your journey!

Cool. When you get a chance,

Cool. When you get a chance, post up your stats, along with your goal you have in mind, and we can help get the ball rolling. Please feel free to ask questions if run into a snag, or need clarification on any issue such as blood work, diet planning, what to change in your current eating habits, things like that.

There is a lot of information on the internet, and it can get a little overwhelming, but it doesn't have to. To be honest, the whole ordeal is rather simple, and straight forward. Most websites are ultimately just trying to sell you some garbage you really don't need. Same the complexities for down the road: most supplements really only give a fraction of a percentage advantage mostly when one is really nose-to-the-grindstone and aiming to compete.

There are some tried and true supps that won't hurt to take like creatine at 5 grams per day, caffeine for preworkout energy boost, liver support, prostate support, and fish oil. If you're diet is a little funky, a multivitamin won't hurt either. BCAA's are good choice too.

Protein powder is cool too. I like to buy it in bulk; pure whey isolate, no flavor, no funky additives, no funky fake sweeteners. Fuck paying $60-$80 bucks for 4-5 pounds. Get it for $10 and under per pound in bulk. Add flavors with fruit or glucose powder and cocoa powder for flavor. My friend adds strawberry quik to his, and loves it I get mine in 40lb bags for $189 free shipping from bulksupplements.com. You can get bulk BCAA's there too, Much cheaper than the fancy label brands with their horrible flavors.

Its so worth it. Of course,

Its so worth it. Of course, finish what u have too, waste not want not! When using straight protein, you can accurately measure your macros for that meal. For example, I use quick oats and pure glucose as my carbohydrates in the shake, measured to meet the carb target for that meal. No guess work, just simple math. I used to add chocolate powder, but it required more glucose to make it taste good, so I discontinued using it. By the way, glucose isn't as sweet as sucrose since there is no fructose (sucrose is a di-saccharide containing two mono-saccharides glucose and fructose). Meals 1 and 5 (the protein shakes) have no fats included. The other 4 meals contain the requisite fats to meet the target fats for the day.

Welcome and +2 to Blast for

Welcome and +2 to Blast for some great notes!

For what it's worth new guy you are in the right place. We have some excellent suppliers. Take some time and do some research no what you want to start with etc.....Figure out your goals first will help a ton!

Next for what it's worth, if you feel you have an addictive personality, you may want to consider a strong self mental examination and keep track of yourself that way.  AAS can replace a lot of other drugs as an addiction filler. Try to make your focus on working out vs suppliments and you will be more than fine.   Congrats on getting clean, not easy and staying that way is often even harder. Good luck and again welcome!
